Diwali Celebration
The festival of lights celebrated with special pujas to Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Baglamukhi for prosperity and protection. The temple is beautifully decorated with thousands of lamps.
Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the most vibrant and joyous celebrations in Hindu tradition. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. At our temple, Diwali is celebrated with unique traditions that blend the worship of Goddess Lakshmi (the deity of wealth and prosperity) with Goddess Baglamukhi (the deity of power and protection).
The celebrations begin with a thorough cleaning and decoration of the temple premises. Thousands of oil lamps, candles, and electric lights transform the temple into a mesmerizing spectacle of light and color. Intricate rangolis (colorful floor designs) adorn the entrance and pathways of the temple.
On the main day of Diwali, a special morning abhishekam (ritual bathing) of the deities is performed with panchamrit and other sacred substances. Throughout the day, devotees visit the temple to offer prayers and seek blessings.
The highlight of our Diwali celebration is the special Lakshmi-Baglamukhi Puja conducted in the evening. This unique ritual combines mantras and offerings to both goddesses, seeking prosperity from Goddess Lakshmi and protection from Goddess Baglamukhi. Yellow and red colors dominate the offerings, symbolizing the energies of both deities.
The Grand Deepotsav (lighting of lamps) is a breathtaking ceremony where thousands of lamps are lit simultaneously, creating a divine atmosphere of light and positivity. Devotees participate by lighting lamps and placing them around the temple premises.
The celebrations conclude with a magnificent Maha Aarti, followed by distribution of special prasad to all devotees. The combination of lights, colors, fragrances, and devotional music creates an unforgettable spiritual experience.
