Guru Purnima

A day dedicated to spiritual teachers and gurus. Special discourses on Baglamukhi sadhana and spiritual practices are conducted by learned priests and scholars.

Guru Purnima

Guru Purnima is a sacred festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers, celebrated on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashadha. This day marks the birth anniversary of Sage Veda Vyasa, who compiled the four Vedas, the Puranas, and the Mahabharata.

At our temple, Guru Purnima holds special significance as it's a day to honor the guru-shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition and express gratitude to all spiritual masters who have illuminated the path of knowledge and wisdom.

The celebrations begin with a special Guru Puja in the morning, where the temple priests and spiritual leaders are honored with traditional rituals. Devotees offer flowers, fruits, and other sacred items as a mark of respect and gratitude.

Throughout the day, learned scholars and priests conduct spiritual discourses on various aspects of Baglamukhi sadhana, tantra, and spiritual practices. These sessions provide valuable insights into the deeper aspects of spiritual disciplines and their practical applications in daily life.

A unique feature of our Guru Purnima celebration is the Sadhana Workshop, where experienced practitioners guide devotees in the correct methods of mantra recitation, meditation techniques, and other spiritual practices related to Goddess Baglamukhi.

The day concludes with a special evening aarti and blessing ceremony, where devotees receive the blessings of the spiritual masters and renew their commitment to the spiritual path.
